AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
Alex Lake Zürich is a Minergie house with an environmentally friendly, automatic temperature control system throughout the house. This is only active in your room as long as the windows are properly closed and switches off automatically when they are opened. The basic setting can be adjusted by -3°C or +3°C.

BAR
The Bar Lounge is the perfect place for guests to relax and unwind with a cocktail or snack. Our bartenders prepare a variety of classic cocktails or indulge your senses with our innovative cocktail creations.

BABYBED
We are happy to provide a baby cot for your infant. For children from 3 to 11 years we charge a surcharge of CHF 40.00 for an extra bed.
BABYSITTER
We are happy to organise a babysitter for you. Please inform us at least 24 hours in advance if you need a babysitter. The reception will be happy to assist you.
BED LINEN
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us to protect the environment. Your bed linen will be changed every 3 nights. If you would like an additional change, you can place the card on your bedside table on the bed.
BOAT SHUTTLE
With our own boat you can commute comfortably between Thalwil and the old town of Zurich. Discover Zurich's shores on a 30-minute boat trip.
You can find the current timetable on the "Your City & Lake Resort" map or at the reception.
We recommend that you book a ticket for the trip in advance as space is limited. For tickets or enquiries for private boat trips, please feel free to contact the reception.
BREAKFAST
Breakfast is served in our restaurant from Monday to Sunday from 7.00 am to 10.30 am.
If you have to leave the hotel early in the morning, you can pre-order a take-away breakfast box. Please inform the reception the day before by 6.00 pm at the latest.
Breakfast in the room is served at the same times as breakfast in the restaurant for an extra charge of CHF 5.00. The offer can be seen on the QR code in your kitchenette in the room. To order, please contact the room service.
BICYCLES
Two e-bikes are at your disposal. The bikes cannot be reserved in advance. If available, they can be borrowed directly at the reception.
BABY BED
We are happy to provide a baby cot for your infant. For children up to 12 years we provide an extra bed free of charge.

The currencies Euro, Dollar and Pound can be exchanged at the reception.
CHARGERS FOR SELL PHONES
Chargers are available to borrow from reception.
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT
The guaranteed check-in time is 3.00 pm. Of course you can check into your room earlier if it is ready for you. Otherwise we have a luggage room to store your luggage until 3.00 pm.
On your day of departure, we ask that you vacate your room by 12.00 noon at the latest. If you are planning a later departure, you are welcome to contact the reception.
CREDIT CARDS
We accept American Express, Diners Club, Discover, JCB, Maestro, MasterCard, Union Pay, Visa/Electron, and V-Pay.
CULTURE
Whether you are attending an opera in Zurich or a concert in the KKL Luzern. Please contact us as soon as possible for all reservation requests, especially for well-known or special performances. For information and assistance with ticket bookings, please feel free to contact the reception.

DOCTOR
If you wish, we will be happy to call Dr. Andreas E. Brauchlin from the Swiss Medical Center (SMC) Ltd. to your hotel. In case of emergency, please contact our reception or dial 112 for the emergency number.
DRY CLEANING
You will find a laundry bag and a laundry list in your locker. To pick up your laundry, please contact our reception.
From Monday to Friday, your laundry will be returned on the same day at around 6 pm if it is handed in before 9.30 am.
DOGS
Dogs are welcome throughout the hotel, except in the SPA and fitness area. For the dog setup (ergonomic dog bed and a water bowl) and cleaning, an amount of CHF 25.00 per dog, per night will be charged.

EXCURSIONS
Our reception will be happy to inform you about the many attractions in the Thalwil area. In addition, you will find various activities that can be undertaken in the surrounding area on our website under "Experience".
EMERGENCY
In case of emergency, please contact our reception or dial 112 for the emergency number.
EXTRA BED
Depending on the room category, we will be happy to provide you with an extra bed or a sofa bed for an additional charge of CHF 60.00.

We are happy to book your train, bus or boat tickets for you.
FIRE
Our hotel is equipped with a modern fire alarm system. Report a fire immediately at the reception or press a manual call point. There is an escape route plan on the door in your bedroom. In case of emergency, please remain calm and use the stairs, as the lift is out of service in case of fire.
FITNESSCENTER
Our hotel fitness room is located on the Lake Level. This can be opened with your individual room key. Towels, water bottles and disinfectants are provided for you on site.

INTERNET
Our guests have access to a free Wi-Fi connection throughout the hotel. Activate your wifi and select the network name "ALEXLakeZurich". As soon as the internet browser is open, you will be asked to enter your personal access data. You can obtain the access data for the "Login with voucher code" variant at the reception.

We will gladly organise a limousine service for you. Whether for city tours or as an airport shuttle.
LAUNDRY ROOM
In the Lake Level you will find a Laundry Room which is freely accessible at all times and can be used independently. No liability is accepted for any damage or the like.
LAUNDRY SERVICE
You will find a laundry bag and a laundry list in your locker. Please always fill out the enclosed document completely. For collection, you are welcome to contact our reception. If the laundry is handed in before 9.30 a.m., we will bring it back to you between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. the same day.

We are happy to offer you soft drinks free of charge for your use, which are also refilled every day. All alcoholic drinks and snacks are subject to a charge. The price list can be found in the kitchen in your hotel room.

A Nespresso coffee machine is available free of charge in your hotel room. The capsules are refilled daily during room cleaning. Have you still run out of capsules? Contact the reception and we will be happy to refill them for you.

In the lobby you will find the NZZ daily. On Sunday we also have the Sunday newspaper.

PILLOWS
All pillows are allergy-friendly and made of synthetic material. Each bed also has two harder pillows.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Switzerland can be easily discovered by public transport. Timetables and connections for the SBB (Switzerland-wide), ZSG (Lake Zurich boat connections) and ZVV (tram connections in Zurich) can be found on their websites. For further information or help with ticket purchases, please contact the reception.
PARKING SPOT
On request, we can park your car in the car park or in the underground car park next to the hotel. The cost is CHF 25.00 per night.
POWER SUPPLY
In Switzerland, the mains voltage is 230 volts. Our reception will be happy to lend you an adapter for a deposit of CHF 20.

In warm weather and on sunny days, we invite you to dine on our large terrace and offer first-class cocktails and a generous selection of wines and spirits in our small but exquisite bar.

SAFE
There is a safe in each room. The hotel accepts no liability for valuables stored in the safe.
The hotel has additional safes which are insured up to CHF 10,000. If you wish to store anything in the hotel safe, please contact the reception.
SEWING SERVICE
We offer small sewing services. For more extensive sewing services, our Guest Service Team will be happy to help you.
SHOE CLEANING
If you would like to enjoy a cleaning of your shoes by the services of the house, please contact the reception.
SHUTTLESERVICE
We are happy to offer our guests a free shuttle service from Thalwil train station to the hotel or from the hotel to Thalwil train station, subject to availability.
All other transfer requests can be made via reception. We will be happy to organize a transfer for you.
SMOKING
Please note that the Alex Lake Zürich is a non-smoking hotel. Smoking is permitted on the terraces and outside areas. Smoking in the hotel rooms is not permitted.
Failure to comply with this rule will be charged with the cleaning costs incurred for up to one night.
SUP BOARDS
During the summer months, two Stand Up Paddle Boards are at your disposal. The boards cannot be reserved in advance. If available, SUP boards and life jackets can be borrowed directly from the reception.
SPA
The SPA is open from 09.00 am to 10.00 pm. Children under 16 years can only access the SPA if accompanied by a person over 18 years old.

We will be happy to help you find a taxi. A ride to the airport costs about CHF 130 in normal traffic.
